Bridgeport High School will be having Student Orientation for the different grade levels starting on September 2, 2026.

The Grade 7 Students will have Orientation on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Thursday, September 3, 2026 and Friday, September 4, 2026.

The Grade 8 Students will have Orientation on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

The Grade 9 Students will have Orientation on Friday, September 4, 2026.

The Grade 10 Students will have Orientation on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

The Grade 11 Students will have Orientation on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

The Grade 12 and Grade 13 Students will have Orientation on Friday, September 4, 2026.

ALL STUDENTS (Grades 7 to 13) will begin classes on Monday September 7, 2025 starting at 7:30 A.M.

It is with great pride and humility that we welcome you all to Bridgeport High School. This noble institution which is situated in the Municipality of Portmore caters to the needs of each student, to make him/her the complete person. The strides made in our academic, cultural and sports programmes have built our school, making it "One of the Premier High Schools in Jamaica".

We urge you all to take advantage of the varying opportunities that exist at our distinguished institution and we remain steadfast in the drive to develop a solid educational foundation on which to build your career. Bridgeport High School seeks always to mold the total persons who walk the hallways of the school. Our motto: Educacion total para personajes totales (Total Education for Total Personalities) should be the relfection of every true Bridgeport student, one that is multi-cultural, multifaceted and multidisciplinary. This is critical if you are to compete effectively in the global environment.

We endeavour to provide a healthy and productive environment for the students entrusted to our care as we stimulate and prepare them for the future. As a school, we expect students to reciprocate with exemplary behaviour and deliver of their highest standard. Be reminded of our Ministry of Education's mandate that Every child can learn, Every child must learn. Students! We urge you to make use of this educational space and optimize your academic potential - the doors of opportunity are open to you at Bridgeport High School.

Students' main area of focus must be in their academic goals. Students are also expected to participate in sports, clubs and other co-curricular activities for the development of rounded individuals. We implore all our students to:
